David Henderson

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

David brings over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate, private equity investment and real estate finance to M&H Capital. As a native Texan, he has witnessed the emergence of Texas and the Sunbelt states as key investment opportunities.

Commercial Real Estate Development

In the late 90s, Henderson was involved in a multifamily development operation arranging financing via the HUD 221 (d)(4) program.  Through this initiative, Henderson led the effort to arrange development and permanent debt financing for eight developments in Texas.  In addition, Henderson led an initiative to participate in development partnerships with the Dinerstein Companies by providing equity capital for multifamily developments located nationwide. Today, that relationship still exists. M&H Capital and the predecessor companies have invested in over 80 developments with the Dinerstein Companies. In addition to the multifamily initiative, Henderson has been actively involved in underwriting and providing equity capital for several office and assisted living investments.  Dave is responsible for the management of multiple partnerships, working with both the Dinerstein Companies and the M&H Capital investor group.

Timberland Investments

In addition to commercial real estate projects, Henderson has been actively involved in the acquisition of over 250,000 acres of timberland across the U.S. South and Montana. This effort involves debt placement, asset management (timber sales and reforestation), and managing the ultimate property disposition process.

Opportunistic Investments

In the past few years, his experience has led to a variety of real estate investments. In addition to multi-family and timberland, Dave has assembled partnerships for the purchase and operation of two sawmills located in Arkansas. He has participated in developing the manufacturing process of numerous products including lumber, decking, posts, ties, and firewood. The first sawmill in Glenwood, Arkansas, has been sold to a publicly traded forest products company. The second sawmill is operational.

Today, Henderson has management oversight responsibility for the day-to-day tasks for multiple partnerships. He participates in all aspects including partnership structure, financing, investor reporting, tax management and disposition. His expertise has led to several long-term relationships with class A developers. In addition, he manages the M&H investor side with key family offices.
